Lots of people have that neighbor who throws the block parties to show off their perfect house and perfect yard. This year, however, it’s your turn! Step aside, Betty… new year, new lawn, and new party venue featuring YOUR place!
We are professionals in our field so you don’t have to be. In fact, we think the only bed you should be focused on is the one you take a nap in while we beautify your flower bed. In addition to overall upkeep, here are a few things we like to focus on:
Winter weeds are evident in dormant warm-season turf now. But you should be focusing on warm-season surf & turf on your beautifully manicured, weed-free lawn! Don’t break your back and hurt your knees… have us come in and take care of your beds and lawn for you.
The weather is up and down and all around but no matter the season, pruning is a must. Removing unwanted dead leaves, branches and weeds help you to get prepared to plant your favorite flowers. Let us do the dirty work while you decide on which color scheme to go with this year.
We refer to mulch as the table cloth at a family dinner. No one wants to place a nice meal on a discolored, moldy, and raggedy setting, so why would you put your new fresh flowers on old mulch? This helps sharpen the look of your lawn and helps to showcase the colorful additions.
This creates definition between turf and mulch bed. Upkeep and proper maintenance of this helps to keep grass from growing into your mulch beds and keeps mulch off the turf.
What can you do in the meantime?
Choose an assortment of plants for your garden. Choosing those with varying heights helps to add dimension.
Think color scheme. Choose two or three colors that look good together for a more uniformed look or go the opposite direction and use the “confetti” approach choosing all different types of colors. It’s your garden and you can do as you please!
